First Poland-destined F-16 Completes Maiden Flight

Lockheed Martin announced the successful completion of the maiden flight by the first Polish F-16. The flight took place on March 15 at Ft. Worth, Texas, USA. The aircraft is part of a 48-aircraft order by the Government of Poland signed in late 2002. The first aircraft is expected to be delivered to the Polish Air Force later this year.
Under the Peace Sky program Lockheed Martin will deliver 48 F-16 Block 52+ which include AN/APG-68(V) 9 radar fire control system and Sniper Extended Range pod. The program also includes weapons, training by the U.S. Air Force, long term support and a low interest loan by the U.S. government .
