During the celebration of the 89th anniversary of the Finnish Air Force at Tikkakoski Air Base on March 6, 2007, EADS CASA delivered to the Finnish Air Force the first of two C-295 ordered by the Finnish administration. The second aircraft is ready and expected to be delivered soon. The two medium transports will replace the current Fokker F-27. The contract also includes purchase options for another five C-295s.
