Six ex-RNLAF F-16BM Fighters Sold to Jordan
In May 2007, it was announced that the Netherlands Ministry of Defence had signed a contract with Jordan on April 12, 2007, for the sale of six surplus F-16B Midlife Update (MLU) two-seat fighters.
Prior to their delivery in 2008, the aircraft will undergo technical maintenance by the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF). The air force will also support modification of the aircraft, a requirement by the United States for the resale of the aircraft to Jordan. Additionally, two Jordan pilots will undergo a limited MLU-conversion simulator training in the Netherlands.
