On 21-22 March 2015 the second Los Angeles County Air Show took place at William J. Fox airfield in Lancaster, California. The LA County was first held back in 2014 featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, see the 2014 airshow report here for a full report. For 2015 the USAF Thunderbirds display team was the main display teams joined by various aerobatic acts, USN VFA-122 F/A-18E Super Hornet Tac Demo, and USMC AV-8B+ Harrier demonstration. The ER-2 from NASA made a welcome return with a fly-over and the F/A-18A Hornet from the Armstrong Flight Research Center at Edwards AFB was back too for the static display. Restored warbirds included the Commemorative Air Force B-29 "Fifi" Superfortress as well as SoCal Wings fighters, and Chino's Planes of Fame Museum formation as well as their CT-133 classic training jet. New this year was a wing walking act, performed by Theresa Stokes and Gene Soucy flying his Stearman "Showcat".

With the 2015 airshow being another success the LA County Air Show was firmly established as annual airshow at Fox Field, and the 2016 edition scheduled for March 19-20 will again feature the USN Blue Angels in addition to various returning and alternative performers in each of the categories. NASA will again demonstrate its ER-2 aircraft and the F-86 Sabre and Northrop N9MB flying wing will be back too. In 2016 Third Strike's Carrol Pillon from Canada will be providing the wingwalking act, and the Texas Flying Legends Museum and Tora! Tora! Tora! will join the WWII line-up. See the Los Angeles County Air Show official website for ticket and more information.
