20 DecFourth Airbus Military A400M makes first flight
The fourth Airbus Military A400M military airlifter has made its first flight – the culmination of a highly successful 2010 which also saw the fleet of Grizzly development aircraft complete just over 1,000 hours flight-time and 300 flights.

Known as Grizzly 4, the aircraft took off from Seville, Spain with a weight of 130 tonnes at 10h18 local time (GMT+1) and landed five hours and ten minutes later.
16 SepFlight tests begin for Tiger HAD support and attack helicopter
The first HAD support and attack version of Eurocopter’s Tiger helicopter has initiated its flight test program at the company’s Albacete facility in Spain. During the next 15 months, a full program of tests and development flights will be carried out to obtain the first qualification step (Block 1), which is scheduled for December 2011. These evaluations will include firing campaigns of the Mistral and Spike missiles planned before the end of this year.
29 JulTiger Helicopters 1000 Flight Hours in Afghanistan
The fleet of three EC665 Tiger HAPs, operated by the French Army's 5th Combat Helicopter Regiment, has now logged more than 1,000 flight hours in Afghanistan in less than a year.
20 AprBrazilian Air Force Formally Inducts New Mi-35 into Service as AH-2 Sabre
The Brazilian Air Force (Força Aérea Brasileira - FAB) formally inducted the newly acquired Mi-35 'Hind' into service on April 17, 2010. Named the AH-2 Sabre in FAB service, the attack helicopters will be based at Porto Velho air base, in Rondônia, equipping the second squadron of the 8º Grupo de Aviação (2/8º GAV).

29 JanPAK-FA Revealed: Sukhoi's T-50 Makes First Flight
Russia's fifth generation PAK-FA fighter made its maiden flight on January 29, 2010. Designated T-50 by Sukhoi, the first prototype aircraft took off at 1119hrs from KnAAPO's airfield at Komsomolsk-na-Amure. The 47-minute test flight was flown by company test pilot Sergei Bogdan.
